Reachability is separate from identity. Blocked, timed-out, and unreadable pages remain unresolved. A name match and matching outgoing link is automatic corroboration until reviewed.
Why these aren’t Top 20 rankings yet
The seed ordered artists by encyclopedia prominence. It contains 840 source-reported deceased artists and 446 biographies flagged for music-relevance review. Citizenship, birthplace, career market, and audience location are different country relationships.
A publishable ranking needs a defined country relationship, an eligible candidate pool, a measurement window, comparable platform signals, documented missing-data treatment, and evidence for every position. Historical follower counts and successful website checks do not meet that standard.
Evidence vocabulary
Source-reported: imported claim awaiting independent review.
Automatic corroboration: artist-name and exact outgoing-link matches; editorial review pending.
Artist-site link checked: a reviewed outgoing link from the artist site; does not authenticate account control or statistics.
Verified claim: the named field is supported by reviewed evidence. Other fields stay unverified.
Conflict / unresolved: evidence needs investigation. Records and earlier values are retained.
